Finally I am Done..

I finally finished my 2 quilts I am making for Xmas. This is for my step son, and my favorite quilt of the pair. I'm pretty pleased with it and hope he likes it.

This is for my step daughter who lives in AZ and I hope she likes it. I don't know her very well, and my husband picked out some fabrics and I picked out some more and there you go. I made this for the Round About Quilt Along which I loved participating in and it is open ended, so if you want to make one - check it out. I used the Eliza Back Porch template set which I love! Lots of bang for the buck on this.
My husband quilted on both of these.. and helped with ironing and binding (I mean, if you blinked you missed it- but he helped:})
Now I am making little blocks with scraps and amusing myself. I should be binding for Give a kid a Quilt but I cannot seem to move.. I have worked about 12 hours a day for the last 4 days.
I'm bushed!
I'll be back here in the New Year!
Check out how the Charity work is going over at Give a Kid a Quilt, I'll still be blogging over there.
Check my flickr to see pics of the quilting and details of the work.

I hope everybody has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I love both quilts, but am particularly impressed by the circles, I'm sure your step-daughter will love it. :-)

Great quilts! Drats if I missed seeing them in person last night. Have a Merry Christmas!

Beautiful! I fell in love with the squares last night at guild meeting. I wanted to tell you in person but I didn't make my way over to you before you left. You have a wonderful talent for selecting fabrics and colors that work together.

Both beautiful but I especially love the squares. I looked at pics on your Flickr site but, even when I enlarged to the largest size, I couldn't find any seams in the sashing. How did you put it together since the blocks are all different sizes?

The one for your step son is spectacular! You've really done a great job! I've used those Eliza Backporch templates for a quilt too. Fun fabric choices on that one as well! I can't believe how hard you've been working to make Christmas gifts. I don't even work that hard when people are paying me! LOL

Rachel, both of these quilts are wonderful, but I LOVE the squares one. You have such an eye for colour and balance, and it is wonderfully wonky!

They are both so beautiful! I'm particularly drawn to the first - what a great mix of prints and colors!

Rachel, those are beautiful! How nice that your husband helped you. What a thoughtful guy. BTW, are you munki on etsy? I think I've been to your store and I was just thinking about the name the other day because I call my kids monkey (the brown monkey and the orange monkey). Small world.
